"On January 1st, 2012, I made the New Year's resolution that it was time to start making some changes with my health and fitness. I was at my all-time heaviest weight after the birth of our 4th child. I joined a local gym and started working at my goals. Months went by and I was making good progress but knew I needed something more, I had bigger goals inside of me that I just knew I couldn't accomplish on my own. I needed some direction. A friend had suggested I look into Noonan Sport Specialists. I sent them an email that day and was sitting in Mike's office the following Monday. I left there that day knowing that I had made the right decision, they were exactly what I had been looking for!


With about a month of training sessions under my belt, my coach suggested that I try out their new Nutrition Coaching Program (NCP). Of course I was game! Eating whole foods had always been a struggle for me in my busy world with 4 kids. 'Healthy' food to me consisted of Lean Cuisines and protein bars. NCP slowly introduced me into the world of whole foods and showed me ways to incorporate those options into my busy schedule. While what I had been eating was working, I was eating way too much processed food, which really isn't healthy. 

Before NCP, I was basing my healthy food choices on fat content. I've come to find out that reading only the fat content can be very misleading. My whole thought process in reading a food label has changed! I'm now educated in what I am looking for in my nutrition: what I need in my diet, and what I need to avoid. 

With the help of a combination of my nutrition meetings and my training sessions I am down 26 pounds and 18 inches in less than 4 months! That's 9.25 inches off my waist, 2.25 off both arm and thigh, and 4.25 off hips! I've gone from barely being able to run for 30 SECONDS to running over 3 MILES at least 3 times a week! I've found a deep down love for running! Who knew what a great stress reliever it could be for a working mother of 4! 

NSS has opened up a brand new chapter for me in my life; I'm not the same person I was before. I'm confident, determined, and driven."
