Sabrina is a personal coach AND our administrative specialist, managing everything from client billings to payroll to website updates to supply orders. Also a client, she credits NSS with changing her own life for the better in every possible way, and loves that she can use her specific talents to help us change more lives.
In addition to her position as resident bean counter, Sabrina coaches in the afternoons, heads up large group team trainings, and coordinates our Sweatin' For A Cause and other fundraising events.
A bookworm throughout her school years, it wasn’t until adulthood that Sabrina discovered a deep love of both running and lifting.
She’s run many races, from 5k to 50k, notably notching a couple female-winner awards, and qualifying for Boston in her first marathon. She has logged three rounds of the Wild Duluth 50k trail race, and is an every-year alum of our annual TRAIN and STAY Getaway. She also spent 10 summers coaching newbies through a Couch to 5k program, helping others to find a love of running.
Sabrina's love of running led to injuries, which led to NSS, to add the missing strength training needed to balance out running, which led to a new addiction: barbells. She competed in our first powerlifting meet here at NSS, and more recently scored first place in the Women's Novice division of the Spring 2017 Tactical Strength Challenge, a worldwide event. However, her proudest achievement is simply having found exercise hobbies she adores, making fitness an enjoyable habit, not a chore.
She spends her spare time running trails with her dogs, powerlifting, logging pull-ups, reading, and planning her next visit to Minnesota’s beautiful North Shore.
