"In my early 40s, I had settled into a sedentary lifestyle. I had the typical desk job, didn't do a lot of physical activity, felt OK, and was moving through life. After a fall on the ice in 2009, I had injured my lower back. After many months of traditional medical treatments, that brought only temporary relief, it was recommended that I start to exercise and strengthen my back.
I visited with NSS about my situation, and immediately saw the passion in them to want to help me. We set goals around strengthening, flexibility, and injury prevention. After the first couple of sessions, which were very well tailored to my condition. I noticed a decrease in pain and discomfort. After a few months, I was totally pain-free, and starting to do things I hadn't since my injury. I was starting to feel stronger, and actually started looking forward to going to my sessions, as after each one, I always felt better!
I have just celebrated my 1-year anniversary of 'working out.' I am physically stronger, more confident in being physical, and am far more resistant to fatigue, than I was in my 30s! We are now focusing on my nutrition, and continuing to work towards a more healthy and physical lifestyle. What the Noonan's team has taught me: age is not a limiting factor in deciding to start exercising. The only thing standing in your way of improving your physical condition is YOU. I was spending more time and money maintaining my vehicles, than maintaining myself. I am extremely thankful to the NSS team for guiding and supporting me on my road to physical health!"
