Throughout her time at NSS Karen has been a beacon of consistency, always sure to make her three sessions each week, even if it requires rescheduling of times and days. Along with this Karen has brought a great attitude and energy to her training group.
To say this incredible consistency and super positive personality in the gym have been easy for Karen would be a true understatement. See one thing you need to know about Karen is that for the first 6 months of her coaching at NSS she was dealing with degenerative knee issues in her right knee. This issue was causing extreme daily pain and was affecting her movement and activities.
While this could have been a legitimate reason to not be active and exercising Karen has never once used it as an excuse! Even when it came to doing sessions of only upper body exercises and from a seated position.
Recently Karen had a total knee replacement to correct the bone on bone issue…do you think that stopped her? Of course not! She was back in the gym 5 weeks later working on upper body exercises and things she was capable of. Along with that Karen was adamant about her rehabilitation, often times dedicating two and a half hours a day to specific rehab and pool workouts.
As if daily pain and a total knee replacement weren’t enough Karen also recently celebrated the marriage of her daughter; which all of us know can be a joyous, yet busy and stressful time in and of itself.
In light of all this Karen has been a facet at NSS and a well deserving Client of the Month.
