Meet the NSS Interns - Steve T.
This summer we are excited to welcome to the facility our three newest NSS Interns - Will S., Jasmine S., and Steve T.
You undoubtedly have seen them around NSS, maybe even been helped out or coached by them, but today we want you to get to know Will, Jasmine and Steve even better.
Let's get to know Steve Trandahl...
What school are you coming to us from?
> THE Saint Cloud State University
Why did you pick your major?
> Sports, Recreation, and Health & Fitness have been longtime passions of mine, so establishing a career in those fields is very important to me.
Where did you grow up?
> Born and raised right here in Alexandria.
What did you enjoy doing / hobbies while you were growing up?
> I was always in a sport either basketball, football, baseball, or soccer. Also I occasionally enjoyed playing Xbox with my buddies.
What is your favorite lift / gym thing?
> I love working shoulders. Who doesn't want to turn sideways to fit through doorways? Also arms is a close second.
What is your least favorite lift / gym thing?
> Perfecting the art of back squat. Or long distance running isn't my favorite activity.
The best food on Earth is?
> Protein shakes
What is your proudest accomplishment?
> Graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Sports & Recreation Management, and the strength gains I have made in my 16 months of dedicated lifting on my own.
What is your favorite book?
> Harry Potter series / Game of Thrones series
Your last vacation?
> I've been to Florida twice, it was really neat.
Longest you've gone without sleep and why?
> Probably back in high school when we used to stay up all weekend playing video games.
Do you collect anything?
> Mainly just shaker bottles and empty protein containers.
What was your first job?
> Washing cars at Mike's Car Wash.
Tell us something unique about you.
> My second time deadlifting I did 405# and I'm fairly certain I blacked out mid-lift but I locked it in and got the rep.
