C.J. Erickson Presents at the Minnesota State NSCA Clinic
Saturday, January 23rd marked a wonderful day for Noonan Sport Specialists. Ever since we have been in the business of fitness, health and strength and conditioning we have prided ourselves in continuing education and staying on top of the most recent research, trends and happenings of the fitness world.
So much so that we annually attend multiple events of this nature, events that allow us to make sure we are on the cutting edge of fitness, and able to serve clients to the best of our knowledge.
One such organization is the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). The NSCA was founded in 1978 with the common desire to network, collaborate and unify the profession of strength and conditioning. Since its inception, the NSCA has grown to nearly 30,000 members in 72 countries and is one of the main governing bodies when it comes to personal training and sports performance coaching.
We have always enjoyed the opportunity to listen to and learn from the amazing presenters the NSCA brings to their state and regional clinics. What are considered some of the best fitness professionals in the country have presented on a range of topics.
This past Saturday, January 23rd was such a great day because NSS’s own C.J. Erickson was invited to be one of these very presenters, one of these best in the country, and speak on “Effective Kettlebell Training for all Settings” at the Minnesota NSCA State Clinic.
We couldn’t be more proud of C.J. for not only getting this invitation, but also for doing such a phenomenal job educating the 165 participants in attendance that afternoon.
His presentation outlined how to build kettlebell training into programming with clients as well as detailing reasonable, safe and effective progressions for how to teach the Turkish get-up, swing and snatch. All of these were what we refer to “Monday morning take homes” for everyone in the audience.
Congratulations to you C.J., you did an excellent job and we truly think you are not only a world class coach, but now a top notch presenter. Great job!!
C.J.’s next presentation will be to audiences at the Sanford Power Clinic in Fargo, ND on April 22nd and 23rd.
