Omega 3’s are types of fatty acids. There are a number of different types but the 2 most important are EPA and DHA – the types that are commonly found in fish.
Omega 6's are another type of fatty acid that is found in vegetable oils, and in general are more easily accessible.
In general we have an imbalance of Omega 3's to Omega 6's, close to 1:500 when a ratio of 1:2 is recommended.
Another difference between Omega 3’s and 6’s are Omega 3’s are considered an anti-inflammatory while Omega 6’s cause the inflammation. So you will often hear that Omega 3’s are good for joint health.
Best thing yet is there are TONS of studies out of the positive effects of EPA/DHA and what it can help do for our body including improving the function of our immune and cardiovascular systems.
Studies have also shown increases in brain function along with hair, skin, and nail health with supplementation of Omega 3’s too!
BONUS good stuff...
Omega 3’s play a HUGE role in brain development for babies in the womb and help mom stay healthy and happy after baby is born.
The brand of EPA/DHA that we carry, LifeExtension, has tons more added
benefits like the addition of Vitamin E which helps aid in absorption of Omega 3’s getting you the most bang for your buck.
Best of all our LifeExtension has DOUBLE the amount of DHA/EPA that most commercially available Omega 3 supplements, meaning you’re getting all that you need in one single pill.
Our coaches swear by this stuff because they can take it any time of day and not deal with the dreaded “fish burp” that can come with most Omega 3 supplements.
Even though we love fishing it’s WAY easier than buying or cleaning, storing and cooking up ALL THOSE FISH!
Ask yourself… Could you be using these benefits, and how much Omega 3’s are you really getting a day?
