If you’ve ever had the opportunity to lift with Steve, you may already know him as the guy who puts a BUNCH of weight on a bar and lifts it in various ways! What you may not yet recognize are the years of hard work and dedication Steve has committed to be where he is now.
Steve came to NSS back in 2011 to improve “abs, toning, and definition”. Yes, I think being able to load well over 300 pounds on his back during a squat and lift nearly 500 pounds in his hands on a deadlift has helped him work towards those goals :) !!
Steve competed in his first powerlifting meet back in 2013 and recently competed in his 18th meet this past month! His expertise and success in the sport of powerlifting has proven influential and inspiring to others as he is more than willing to share his experiences with those who may be interested in trying it out.
Over his nearly 8 years, Steve has been an incredible part of the #NSSfamily. He consistently shows up to sessions with a smile on his face and an attitude that is ready to do what needs to be done.
Despite the usual bouts of life stressors we all experience at times, Steve knows that his workouts are HIS time, and does a fantastic job making the switch from life mode to training mode as soon as he walks through the doors.
Steve is always a positive energy to others in the gym and genuinely offers words of encouragement to those around him.
