THANK YOU Summer Athletes - 2019

WOW, I cannot believe that 9 weeks is over and our Summer Athlete Program has wrapped up! Every year it seems to go faster and faster. This year, I kid you not, it feels like we just started 2 weeks ago and here we are the week after wrapping it up.

I want to take a moment to give a huge and sincere thank you to each one of the parents for doing all the back end work getting your athlete here. Getting everything coordinated to get your athlete here 2-4 days per week for 9 weeks was not easy I'm sure, but I hope you and your athlete found it worth it in the end!

It was truly an honor and joy getting to work with all of the Summer athletes this year. Every year each session takes on its own personality and energy, and it was really fun to see how athletes transformed over the 9 weeks.

So, again, to all of you - THANK YOU!

To all my athletes going off to a Fall sport, I want to wish them the absolute best in their season. This is why we put in all the hard work over the past 9 weeks - to show that off in the field (or on the court or in the water).

To all my athletes NOT involved in a fall sport, I want to make sure they all know about our School Year Athlete Program.

This is simply a continuation of our Summer Program to continue to build that athletic base of speed, strength, and quickness.

If your athlete is not involved in a Fall sport, I strongly recommend you consider the School Year Athlete Program. Unfortunately, if athletes don't continue to use the skills they've spent 9 weeks to build, they will lose them.

The body only keeps skills it uses. If an athlete doesn't continue practicing the speed and strength skills, the body will think it doesn't need those skills and "forget" them.

I don't want to see any athlete lose any of the skills and strength they worked so hard to get this summer, so this is a great opportunity to hold on to and continue to build those.

If you would like to know more about it, you can check out the School Year Athlete Program by going HERE.

Finally, I would love to hear about your athlete's experience at NSS over the summer. If you have any feedback good or not so good, please reply to this email and let me know!

I want to know about all the things I should continue to do, any of the things I should stop doing, or anything I should consider starting to do.

If you have something to share, please share it by emailing me HERE!

Again, I want to thank all of the athletes for all the hard work they put in, and wish them all the best this coming year.
