Steve's love for training centers around the idea that all of us are capable of change, and once we truly believe that, we can be capable of almost anything.
Most of Steve's athletic experience is in what many of us would consider "nontraditional" sports. As a kid, Steve spent most summer days skateboarding. He also worked as a rock climbing instructor and participated in multiple outdoor climbs as well, with his biggest climb being Devil's Tower in Wyoming. Steve also participated in martial arts, reaching a brown belt in tae kwon do as well as training for a short while in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
His current athletic endeavor of choice is powerlifting. Steve holds multiple state records in several federations, as well as an American record in the 148 lb. raw division in several federations.
When he's not working or lifting, Steve enjoys spending time with his family taking bike rides, swimming, etc. He's also an avid musician and has been drumming since 6th grade.
Steve and his wife Amanda live in Alexandria with their daughters Emma and Audrey.
