"I initially started training with NSS June of 2008. Shortly after starting, I found out I was pregnant with my third child.
With my doctor's approval, I continued my workout sessions. My coach seemed to thoroughly enjoy researching what exercises I could do and found safe ways to push me. I was able to stay with NSS up until my 7th month. With that pregnancy, I gained the least amount of weight, and I went full-term for the first time.
Four months later I was back with new goals. I needed to lose 7 pounds, get back to my pre-baby figure and improve my run time. Through the holidays I was able to continue to lose weight and by the new year I met my weight goal; by the spring I was back to my pre-baby figure. I also exceeded my run time in the Fargo Full Marathon Relay.
The most important lesson Noonan's has taught me is that the number on the scale is not the thing to focus on. How I feel about myself, how my clothes are fitting, and my measurements are what really matter - a concept my coach really had to drill into me. I was, like most women, in sheer panic if I went up a pound or two!
What I like best about Noonan Sport Specialists? - I don't have to worry about when or how to go to the next level. I love it when I have those moments when I realize I am now lifting 100 lbs when 50 lbs used to be hard! NSS continues to push me at a comfortable pace and I'm doing things I never thought possible; and I have muscles to prove it!"
