"I was a four-sport athlete in high school and played college sports for a couple years. In my late twenties I started participating in triathlons and had worked up to the level of doing Half-Ironman events (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run).
However, after a number of years, four kids, and four moves, my fitness level had slowly but surely deteriorated. I found myself doing fairly well during the summer months but I hibernated in the winter. I certainly was no longer ready to compete in triathlons, let alone even think about a Half-Ironman.
I remember the first meeting with NSS, when I told them my goal was to complete a Half-Ironman. I told them, 'believe me,' there is an athlete in there somewhere, we just need to find him. It took me longer than I wanted, but in your 40s you don't recover from several years of relative inactivity overnight. One of the things I have really appreciated about training at Noonan's is they have figured out how to get the most out of me and have tailored a program to meet my needs. That September, my and NSS's work paid off, as I once again completed a Half-Ironman.
I have been training two times per week consistently now for about 5 years. My fitness and energy levels are as good as they have been in years. I have done things physically (including multiple 300 workouts - ask the staff what this is) that I would not have thought were possible with my previous fitness. It is hard to put a value on feeling good."

Tom was our first ever personal training client here at NSS. His pursuit of personal training began our entire personal training program. In being the first, and having trained for so long, Tom has seen everything we could possibly throw at him and handled it all with amazing efforts. Thank you Tom!
