With summer in full swing you may find yourself at a few more social gatherings or at the cabin or on the lake with good food, drinks, and friends.
Often times if you are rocking and rolling on our goals nutritionally, it can get a little nerve-racking to go someplace where you aren't in control of your food choices.
We've got 3 tips to keep you successful and still enjoy your time:
1. Eat before.
Make high protein and veggies a priority to get as much satiety as you can with as few calories. Think protein shake, or some grilled chicken and a bag of steamed veggies or salad.
2. Drink Water.
Water before, during, and after! This will help keep us feeling full and keep up our hydration, especially if out on the boat or having some alcoholic beverages.
3. Create space between yourself and the food.
Try to limit your trips to the kitchen, food set up or snack bag and keep yourself busy with social time or games. Make it more about the people your spend time with and less about the food that is there.
