Noonan Sport Specialists Named Alexandria's Best Fitness Center/Gym for the Sixth Time in Seven Years

We're celebrating another incredible honor, and we have our coaches, members, and the Alexandria community to thank!

Noonan Sport Specialists (NSS) is proud to announce that we've been named the 2026 Best of the Best — Best Fitness Center/Gym by the Alexandria Echo Press.

This year's recognition marks our sixth win in the last seven years, another milestone we're incredibly grateful to celebrate with our #NSSfamily.

Nearly 20 Years of Making a Positive Impact

Since opening our doors on April 1, 2007, our mission has remained unchanged:

"The #NSSfamily uses fitness as a catalyst to positively impact lives."

For nearly two decades, we've worked to make fitness more than simply showing up and completing a workout.

We've focused on creating an environment where people feel comfortable, receive professional coaching, build meaningful relationships, and develop the strength and confidence to enjoy life outside the gym.

That commitment continues today in our Alexandria facility, where our coaches work with adults and student-athletes of different ages, fitness levels, and abilities.

An Award That Belongs to Our Entire Community

While being recognized as the area's Best Fitness Center/Gym is an honor, what matters most to us is what this recognition represents.

Our coaches show up every day committed to helping people succeed. They develop personal relationships, meet members where they're at, and take pride in helping people progress.

Our members are equally important to the experience.

They consistently show up for themselves, encourage one another, celebrate accomplishments, and create the welcoming environment that makes NSS special.

Together, they've built something that goes well beyond the equipment and the workouts.

That's what makes this award meaningful.
